Plog …. ( Poetry blog)

Brendan Behan # Georgie Boy Best # The Stardust

B Behan’s birthday
Now he was no bore
The real Borstal Boy
And Dub to the core
Sunday’s ‘Big Match’
The Golden Shot
Georgie Boy Best
Would beat the whole lot
Smooth Marvin Gaye
Sails through the stars
Freebird and Skynyrd
Then came The Cars
Our own Valentine
Sweeps o’er the nation
True love and flowers
Sweet delectation
Forty eight people
Never came home
Stardust now forty
Hell in the gloam
Sad that you left us
Great Leon Spinks
We met you in Ditka’s
Where we had some drinks
Pina Colada
And caught in the Rain
I love that old song
I must be in pain.

Beidh mé ar ais…Sláinte!
