Plog …. ( Poetry blog)

Shakespeare # Jerusalema # Willie Duggan

Shall I compare thee
To a Summer’s day
Fourteen sweet lines
Sweet buds of may
Sonnets and plays
In Stratford on Avon
Taverns of white
Jackdaws and ravens
Oh how they all dance
All steps in sync
Without much dilemma
To see shoals of sprats
Where multitudes gorge
Great Mot the Hoople
And sweet Madame George
When most got cold feet
And shoulders were shruggin
Oh Sacré bleu
Teak Willie Duggan
Another Wild Rover
Sends pictures from Mars
Bowie’s words floating
Around billions of stars
I got a tattoo
When I was in Cairo
It faded like farts
They did it in biro.

Beidh mé ar ais…Sláinte.
