Plog …. ( Poetry blog)

Tony McCoy # Big Mick and Roy # Gary Halpin RIP # Niamh Briggs

‘A whacking fine whip’
Was Tony McCoy
A bromance so pure
Had big Mick and Roy
My friend Gary Halpin
Farewell ‘Old Bean’
The funniest prop
The world’s ever seen
We sang Shang a Lang
As we ran with the gang
And poor old Tiger
Was in a bad prang
Ancient scotch pines
Of Darley’s Fernhill
Kilgobbin Cross
Was chiseled with skill
The Kish seemed to fly
Words from a daughter
Mussels being scooped
In six foot of water
A very fine player
Ireland’s Niamh Briggs
Wales had one too
Brilliant Ryan Giggs
I went through a gap
Fast as a Yaris
Then emptied ten pints
For great Richard Harris.

Beidh mé…ar ais Sláinte.
