Plog …. ( Poetry blog)

Leeds Peter Lorimer
Has gone through the stiles
Some line-up they had
With Bremner and Giles
Young Rachael Blackmore
Hit them for six
A spiffing fine Jockey
A star in the mix
Ireland beat England
No more to say
Forwards and backs
A superb display
Old fairy forts
And long buried henge
Oh show no respect
Be sure of revenge
A bottle of Harp
And ten Major fags
The juke box is free
Whack on the Jags
One last Martini
Jessica Walter
Play Misty for Me
No rein or halter
That lad on the phone
To Sylvia’s Mother
Don’t know his name
Twasn’t her brother.

Beidh mé ar ais…Sláinte.
